Dogs of this breed have curly or wavy coats and they exhibit seven different colors: black, chalk, creams, apricot, chocolate, cafe au lait and silver. The coat should be about 4-6 inches in length. They live for 12-16 years. The curly coat of these dogs requires regular grooming and should be clipped two to three times a year. Frequent bathing is not required as their coat repels moisture and dirt. Bathing your dog, make sure the shampoo you are going to use is compatible with your dog's skin and coat. Otherwise, improper use of shampoo may result in skin irritation and breakability of the coat, which may seriously affect your dog's appearance and health.
